A team of 1,100 CityU runners were joined by Mr Lester G. Huang, Council Chairman of City University of Hong Kong (CityU), and Professor Way Kuo, CityU President, in the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon (SCHKM) 2019 on 17 February.

This will be the second time that CityU has formed a team to compete in a marathon outside of Hong Kong, following the Taipei Marathon in 2012.

City University of Hong Kong (CityU) fielded its largest-ever team of runners for the annual Hong Kong Marathon on 16 February.

Altogether 1,227 athletes, led by Professor Way Kuo, University President, running the 10K race for the sixth time, revealed their team spirit, enthusiasm and sheer determination during their races.

Over 1,000 runners from City University of Hong Kong (CityU) comprised the largest-ever CityU delegation to take part in the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon. This was the sixth year in a row that CityU has sent runners to the event.
